Then I had used the "Add a Device" option under Devices and Printers in the Control Panel to try and find the webcam. Well, after searching for the mystery items' Hardware ID on Google, I had discovered that these devices were in fact not the webcam. I took a look at Device Manager and had found two items titled "Base System Device" (or something to that effect, I don't quite remember), and I thought that one of them would be the webcam. Okay, so for the past several hours I've gone through the throes of attempting to get my Asus laptop's built-in webcam to work.
